old thread but..
I've used a few different models. Belkin, Netgear, SMC and Linksys.
The Linksys WIP330 "Iphone" was fiddly but it was probably due to me having the EU version which didn't work properly with the roms for the NA version. Had to reload skype every time I reset the phone. This phone supports SIP aswell and runs WinCE. Call quality was fairly good. Overall its the best wifi skype phone if you get one that doesn't have issues.. (seems to be a lottery)
The Netgear SPH101 was a pretty decent phone. Works fairly well though the battery life is crap. Bring your charger with you and plug it in if making a call. (Same goes for every skype wifi phone except the WIP330). Call quality was acceptable. Can also use web browser web-based logins.
SMC Was pretty much the same as the netgear, though the keypad wasn't as good. Same goes for battery life and call quality. FON-support available
Belkins wifi phone was just crap. Mine overheated, and the call quality was just rubbish since it stuttered after a few minutes, even when having a good signal. Best looking phone, and the hardware is supposed to be identical to the SMC. Battery life was crap.
