HELP RANDOM WIRE FOUND IN ROUTER (HACKER?)

I have verison fios "fiber optic" is there any reason there should be a "2 pairs patch cable?" I ripped this mysterious cable out seeing as it was coming from wan 10 100 port looped back to router port......Hacker?  please help

uh, what are you talking about? are you talking about the ONT that they installed? usually the WAN port on that is disabled and everything should be going though the MoCA line. you aught to be a bit more specific or at least provide pictures.

ok after posting this about 20 mins my internet got bumped off took me till 4 in ter morning to get everything working properly here's a picture of this weird stuffs but why would this loop out back in? and its weird too because the wires inside of the connector well there not all there..  so i panicked thinking someone bugged my net... also because for a while there was 3 coax connections listed as Motorola in my router GUI..... http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/2113/img0709v.jpg   its the one coming out of "wan" Going back in the"lan" number 3

if you have FiOS, those Motorola coax connections are your TV set top boxes. also, if that's your router in the pic, that extra cable doesn't need to be there.

i was thinking it was the guy who hooked up my internet i believe there based out of Yonkers.  I hear Yonkers i think mostly on the negative side ... the tv comes straight from a coax cable n when i unplug that looped wire my net goes down.... i donno i guess ill just live with it.ill unplug it and try to get a close up of the wires in the connector

I dunno, the issue was months ago. Was it ever resolved? Was there an issue in the first place?
