FML!  I had a terrible Sunday.  After being up late Saturday and doing errands that I didn't get done last week due to my grandfather's wake/funeral, I finally was able to head to the LAN on Sunday at about 12pm.  I'm less than 1 hour away, but the Throggs Neck was closed??? WTF??? So, after 1 hour in traffic, not even getting past exit 30 on the Cross-Island Pkwy, I turned around.  It was bumper to bumper, so no luck there.  I get back home at 2pm figuring that by the time I get to the LAN, it'll practically be over...  So I head to the beach cause my friend called me to go.  It took me 2 hours on the road to get to Robert Moses beach/State Park.  When I get there, a big sign says "Robert Moses State Park Closed" with big construction type metal gate blocking the entire entrance.  People only allowed to exit.  So, my other friend calls me to have dinner at Hoolahans and see Bruno.  I get to Hoolahans, but he didn't tell me that he meant the one in Farmingdale, so I went to the one in Garden City.  FML again!  So, I finally get to him in time for a quick burger and the movie.  Bruno was worst movie I ever saw!!!

I think the Throgs Neck was closed due to a fire or some shit. I heard something on the news about it.

Sucks tho. I didn't laugh at all. Hope you get to make the next one.

Yea, a fire under the bridge, they had to close to to check structural damage out or something.

It was just the ramp from cross island to throggs that was closed.  I was stuck in traffic for a good 40 minutes as well.  Had you gone to clearview expressway you would have passed all the traffic and still been able to take the throggs neck.

yea, i think we all bailed on the LAN around 3-4ish. still is a shame you couldn't make it, you were missed. sucks to hear about the rest of your day being just as bad.
