I recently decided to purchase Uplink off of Steam for about 10? or 20 dollars. Best 20 bucks I spent in a while.
In Uplink you play the role of a hacker working for a shadowy corporation, tasked to hack into other systems for money. There is an active stock-market which your actions impact, banks which you can hack and steal money and if you get caught, you are disavowed and deleted from the registry of active "agents" It's mad fun, yet infuriating, the concept is really cool, yet similar to slavehack (www.slavehack.com)
It's worth taking a look at.
I give it a 7 out of 10.
