Laptop refuses to start!

So i have my friends laptop he says he had problems with the wireless  like (Connected, Disconnected stays disconnected) then it died one day. Now i held the power button and a redish orange battery light with an arrow blinks    what could be the problem just the battery?

its a novatech  model number L51ai0

could be a power problem, not entirely sure. if that's the case, then odds are, its shot but someone would really have to look at it to be 100% sure.

Try removing the battery and starting it up with just AC power applied. Most laptops have some kind of indicator, whether on or off, to show that it is plugged into DC power (converted from AC for the nublettes). If that light fails to illuminate then it could be an issue with the power adapter. Try a new power adapter if one is available.

With Dell's that have that problem it usually indicates bad battery.  Or the charging mechanism may have blown out and the orange light indicated a low charge.  Too low to let the laptop turn on.

ive had an instance in which it was the internal power adapter that was the issue and since its built in, it can get expensive to fix. in most cases like that, its better off to take the HD out, back it up, and start looking for a new laptop. but have it all checked out first by someone that can do something, like a repair tech, then if its the surmised problem, then look for a new laptop.
