ATi X800XL for sale
« on: September 18, 2008, 08:35:50 AM »
I just picked up a 9600GSO to upgrade from my X800XL.  If anyone is interested in the card, I am asking $30 for it.  PCI-express, 256MB, single-slot.  This card has served me well but it was time to upgrade.

Hmmm.....I might be interested. I still have a 6800 nVidia and for $30 it might be a worthwhile upgrade. Let me do some research on it to make sure I have the power availability for it. I think I only have 400watts.

I ran it on a 400W power supply before.  It  doesn't draw much juice.  It doesn't even require an auxiliary power connection.

I just looked up the card and it is in the same ballpark as a 6800GT which is only one step above the 6600GT that I have now. If I spend any money on a new card I should probably justify it better by taking a bigger jump than that. Sorry.

why would you want to do it for shits and giggles? we all know PCI-e is far superior than AGP

the only way i can reason with that is if you don't have money for the parts. if that the case, stop buying games for a year or so and you should have enough to make a basic PCI-e PC that can perform well enough to do some gaming damage.
