About time they saw the light. I guess I will go back to doing business with them again.

Simple fact is, it's inter-state commerce and NYS has NO ability whatsoever to tax what we buy from out of state or even out of country. If I go to New Jersey and buy a tank of gas at their tax rate, am I supposed to report and pay the difference to NYS? No. If I buy furniture from South Carolina online and have it shipped here, do I have to pay sales tax on it? NO.
Albany needs to stop the bullshit. Thank you Newegg for telling New York State Division of Taxation and Finance to go stuff it.
Further reading says that Overstock.com dumped all their NY based affiliates to avoid the taxation. I wonder if newegg did the same.
