Came home for spring break, tried turning on my desktop and the lights light up, then shut off. The fans begin to spin, then shut down. Pause for a second. Then lights go back on, fans spin up, only to shut down. Repeat ad nauseum.
Opened case, no burning smell, motherboard looks ok, PSU looks OK (warranty already passed so I opened it up), all connections are set but the thing won't boot. PSU was a crappy 430W (says that on the sticker, but yeah right...) mini atx thing that came with the case. Most reviews said the included PSU was poor, but it's lasted me a good 2 years so I don't think I can really complain much.
I'm thinking 99% it's the PSU that's gone, but if you can think of any reasons before I go and buy a new PSU tomorrow, I'd like to hear them.
