Okay. So April 19th is right out. I haven't seen anybody post when Spring Breaks happen (college or high school). Our options for April seem to be the 5th/6th, the 12th/13th, and 26th/27th.

April dates sound brilliant, although the GXL is reportedly hosting their LAN from the 25th to the 27th. Perhaps earlier is better; I believe the 12th and 13th were mentioned?

Spring Break is March 3rd-9th, and Easter Break is March 21st-23rd at my college. Alas like GTC, plans have been made for the time off, but may possibly be altered for a good LAN

hey guys. my spring break is mad early... trimesters but anyway. whatever weekend is scheduled i can probably make if its a friday start.

I'll talk to Popsikle about it. He has better contact with the chick at the hotel than I do. The price he got quoted last time was ridiculous (in a good way).

EDIT: For doczor, we usually go Saturday into Sunday. Do people want to do a Friday into Saturday LAN instead?

Is it possible to secure the venue for 2.5 days? This way people who can make Fri/Sat and those who can make Sat/Sun, are accommodated and the option for Fri/Sat/Sun is available.

I would assume all day Friday would be excessive considering people have work and school. Although if including Friday evening, persons such as myself with school on Saturday would have the option of stopping by Friday night, going to school bleary eyed, and returning for the duration.

Possible, sure. But the cost of course will go up. Plus it would make securing the space harder as we spread over more time and run into greater chances of colliding with a preexisting event.

I would also say no simply because the people with the gear and who rent the room (usually Popsikle and/or me) have to be there the entire time. We like to sleep and actually spend part of the weekend at HOME.

I much like Nikita's idea, to an extent. One pro is that by havign it run for almost 72 hours, would be giving some leway to those who can only spend an x amount of time at the LAN party, would certainly help you guys a lot. If the 11th-13t of April is most considered, then lets go with it.

I'm going to have to also agree with PsyFire, and be brutally blunt while I am at it, that it's not worth wasting the money; as well as killing yourself by sleep deprivation to hold such a long LAN party. If that's the case, you and Pops should work out some shift exchanging. That, and so you don't have the guys at EMS laughing because you were the one to pass out instead. :-P
