Linux Server
« on: November 17, 2007, 09:51:40 PM »
I'm attempting to use a Dell p4 box with some RAM and a moderate hard drive as a home file server. Now I downloaded Linux, specifically Ubuntu Server Edition, and I had formatted the hard drive, and put it back into the computer. I then turned it on, popped the CD-ROM in, and closed it back up. Restarted, and nothing happens.
What the hell?
Any thoughts?

Nevermind, my dad neglected to tell me that the drive itself has problems reading discs...ordered one from the egg...and we'll see what happens.
