college really isn't that bad, not much to really worry about. the core requirements for each university tends to be a breeze, its more when you get ahead of yourself (taking classes that are too hard and you're not ready for) that will get you. you have to have a certain level of ambition to not fail, basicly. a most of the core classes are like, you have to try to fail to fail, if you know what i mean.
shit, theres this one class at my school thats worth one credit that is open to freshmen only called university 101. take a stab at what that class is about. although college is meant for higher learning, but its also about learning life experiences like learning to live on your own, seeing new things, meeting new people, seeing what it takes to support yourself. try not to settle with a community college, apply for it as your safety school, but at the same time apply to places that you feel comfortable with and places that offer what you're really interested in learning.
learn what you want, do what you want, and get a degree for doing it, even if it seems outlandish. remember that a LOT of people work in fields that have nothing to do with their college degree. granted it helps a lot to go into the same or similar field but keep that in mind. so, theres no need to really sweat being a HS senior. look at it this way, your school will let you go visit colleges and they will help you pick one out. if you don't believe me about that, look at it this way, the better college/university you go to, the better the your high school looks. it allows them to brag that one of their students when to this school.
i really wish you good luck on your hunt for a school. i hope you find a place that suits you.
