I'm going to start getting more into seeing independent films in the city. That said, there are already a billion reviews about the "pop" movies playing in the regular theaters. 99.9% of the movies playing in the theaters today are formulaic. "The Bourne Ultimatum" is a good example. Maybe reviews on independent films would be better. If you're all lucky, maybe I'll even write a review on "The King of Kong: A Fistful of Quarters", a film documentary of arcade game champions, which I saw 2 weeks ago.
The movie reviews will also be contingent on a bunch of forum members seeing a wide variety of the movies playing on a regular basis. Basically, if 10 of us write a review on the same movie, and it is the only movie with a review, it's not really useful. All it would tell is that 10 forum members all independently decided to see the same movie, then decided to write about it. Not very helpful if you want to decide what movie to see.
