For those members out there looking or an mp3 player that is truly worth the money, well your in luck! From its previous version, the Zen Vision; several enhancements have been made & also several features carried over from its predecessor:
-Thinner design
-A/V Out(including A/V cables in the box)
-Separate D/C 5v plug on the unit
-Separate USB 2.0 & Proprietary transfer plug
-Compact Flash I/II (separate CF Adapter for other flash cards)
-IR Port
*4.3 Inch Wide screen w/ small speaker & mini nav buttons*
13hrs of music/4.5hrs of video playback.
-FM Radio/ Mic Recorder
-Audio format: MP3, WMA, WAV, Audible
Photo format: JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP
-Video Playback formats: MPEG1/2/4-SP, XviD, DivX 4 and 5, AVI, MJPEG and WMV9
Before i've purchased this item, i previously owned a Zen Vision M. Reason being why i've decided to change to the Zen Vision W are for key features like, 4.3inch Widescreen display, CF slot built into the unit, & last but not least the IR port for lazy reasons.
Let's say you wanna go on vacation & while your on the plane you'd like to watch a movie? Most of the times the movies on those inflights sucks & would prefer to watch something else. Some of us decide to take out laptops just incase, but in reality if you're watchin movies, or podcasts, music, then usually a portable media player is what you'd like to carry around.
Considering it has the Compact Flash adapter on the side, I decided to take a few cards loaded w/ anime, dvd rip movies, podcasts, & a bit of music. The only thing truly lacking from this player is the ability to browse the net.
The 4.3 inch screen, besides being great, is actually easy on your eye's. Also you get to change the viewing sizes on the player.
If you're at a friends house, & wanna just hook it up to the tube for everyone to see, you've got the A/V input on the side of the player. Besides the features listed above, you can do several other things, such as change the background, & also choose whether u wanna have the external speaker or the headphones on. I'm still experimenting w/ it but its a worth buy.
I would rate this player a 8/10
