You made the right choice.  I was at my friend George's 18th bday party which was at the Marriott (mind you I was 17 and so were most of my friends).  He was having an afterparty at his house, and I had the car (jeep lib).  So I pack up in the car with 4 other people, but none of us knew where he lived.  However my boy Dan called and said he needed a ride to the party since he was coming with most of the drinks.  Went to pick him up, so now I have 5 people in the car (one in the trunk) with drinks, including one that was opened.

So Dan didn't exactly know where the party was, but we met up with this kid on the road who he recogized who was going, so we said cool lets follow him.  Throw in the fact that he's half drunk.

So it's around 12:30 at this time, and this dude in his beat up ford taurus is flooring it downtown, like 70mph almost on some straights.  I try to keep up as I am a fast driver, but not a stupid one.

However I guess I threw that out the window.  He blew through a yellow light at a 4 way in the middle of downtown (stamford kids, the mcdonalds/mall/library light heading toward taco bell) and I followed him at 50+.  A car in the other direction went to turn left cutting me off, I had to swerve out of the way.  But then he had a epiphany and saw me and stopped, so then i had to swerve in the OTHER direction to avoid hitting him.  As soon as I was back on the road, saw a copper turn behind me and flash his lights.  Dude I was following just floored it and got away.

Got bitched at, would have gotten trouble at least speeding maybe reckless, failure to yield or stop at a yellow or red light, having more ppl in my car than seatbelts, having drinks, having OPEN drinks, and i was in the stupid curfew mode where I was supposed to be driving at that time and neither with that amount of people.

While he was bitching they had a more pressing matter and he got called for backup, and so I got let off.  He didn't see the kid in the back.  I took that as my warning and never did stupid shit like that again.

You lucky bastard.

I know this one dude who said he got yanked DWI on the Jersey turnpike.  The cop had him out of the car and the whole shebang.  Then on the other side of the highway some car flew by and the hood just popped up blinding the driver and they went smashing into the barrier.  The cop took off and told him to get the f outta there.

So dam lucky, that had been me I would have been in cuffs.

Culla thank your lucky stars, cause if you would have gotten bagged with all that in CT you would have been walking for a long time.

I did not know that.  In fact, I don't even know what a quest for a pink taco is.  Or what a pink taco is.

Pulled over by copes

blah blah blech

Funny story about getting pulled over by cops. (In retrospect I was an asshole but got completely lucky).

Went out to dinner with the girly one night. Hit this Italian place in Yorktown that used to be really good when the food wasn't cooked by mexicans. Polished off a bottle of wine between the two of us. Driving across 202 to meet my sister and her other half for a movie. Blow the yellow light right near the top of the BMP and get yanked on the BMP by a Trooper in an SUV.

No folks, here is some sound advice.

When you get pulled over....at NIGHT....don't greet the officer by saying "GOOD MORNING". :P

Needless to say I knew I was probably gonna blow at least a DUI but I got lucky. I guess I wasn't as slurring as I thought I might be and he never approached the drinking issue (thank god). Let me off with a warning and told me to take it more careful the next time.

Now I'm not saying you are gonna get off easy if you do something stupid. Just look on the flip side. If in all the above cases the cops had arrested us all, there wouldn't be much of a forum here now would there be?

Kiji, my opinion:

you made the right choice.  I, personally, wouldn't have gone either, and to be honest, you probably didn't miss nearly as much at the party as you were led to believe.  That's how parties usually are under age 22.  They are alot of hype, a little action, and alot of talk afterwards....   Not as exciting as you might think.  Trust me....

Not to mention that losing your license would really suck and make matters far worse than not hooking up with some chick.  For the party/hooking-up/whatever, they'll always be a next time...
Exactly.

Chris, you've hooked up with enough girls already. Get over it.

Miraggios

They just had a fire recently too, don't think anything bad.

The food ain't horrible, just not what it used to be.

I'd much rather go to Little Sorrentos.
